Américo Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Eduardo Santos made a huge save. Daniel Nascimento hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. SC Cortegada's José Barbosa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Presalves. A collision led to SC Cortegada getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Fábio Luz hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delfim Borba in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Antunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute Rogério Ferro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes of play, SC Presalves's Delfim Borba made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristiano Antunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! SC Cortegada's Gaspar Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Rogério Ferro made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Américo Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cortegada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Américo Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SC Presalves getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Daniel Nascimento hit a great ball. Eduardo Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Américo Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Rogério Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When SC Presalves's Eduardo Ramos in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Cortegada's goalie prevented a goal. A hard shot 73 in the game by José Guarda from a close distance when the talented Cristiano Antunes managed to make a qualified save. An annoying self made goal, 1-2. Eduardo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Ferro in the 81st minute of play. In the 91st minute, José Guarda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Presalves's José Guarda got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Although SC Cortegada had been in control for most of the match, SC Presalves still came away with the win.
