In the 4th match minute, Cambaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Porto to maneuver through the defense. If José Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, Cambaia's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim Borba came free, but Américo Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SC Presalves booed when Cambaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Cambaia's Américo Lisboa got control of the ball when José Guarda tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Borba in the 17th minute of play forced Cambaia's goalkeeper Américo Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Guarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Américo Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Presalves's José Guarda got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 played minutes, Cambaia's Joaquim Nascimento shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eduardo Santos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cambaia reached it. Delfim Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the game, Cláudio Faro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cambaia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Presalves the free kick. The goalkeeper, Américo Lisboa, was totally fooled by SC Presalves's Simão Borges, who 37 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 41 minutes, Jacinto Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cambaia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacinto Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Américo Lisboa went to the wrong direction when Simão Borges was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Eduardo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Coelho in the 57th minute of play. SC Presalves's Delfim Borba got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cambaia booed when SC Presalves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaspar Coelho struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Eduardo Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cambaia. Cambaia's Américo Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Borba in the 74th minute of play. SC Presalves's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gaspar Coelho 79 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Gaspar Coelho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Daniel Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Borba in the 93rd minute of play forced Cambaia's goalkeeper Américo Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Ramos during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Presalves getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Eduardo Ramos hit a great ball. The SC Presalves supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cambaia's performance. The match ended with a win for Cambaia.
