David Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Leão having to interfere. Vicente Leão made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when David Gueifão sent off a good shot on target. SC Pimenteiras's David Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 27 played minutes SC Gostei got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Tavares. Cláudio Anjos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vicente Leão. SC Gostei's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 30th match minute, SC Pimenteiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Anjos to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Leão made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Gueifão in the 33rd minute. David Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Pimenteiras getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Cláudio Anjos hit a great ball.

SC Pimenteiras's Gabriel Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Pimenteiras from getting a goal against them. João Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Leão having to interfere. Vicente Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Gueifão in the 89th minute of play. João Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Vicente Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute David Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Gueifão might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vicente Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Gueifão ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Pimenteiras fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Gostei had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
