After having played for 6 minutes, Inácio Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mouril's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Mouril booed when SC Roqueirinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Jesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Albertino Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inácio Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertino Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Porto in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mouril's Inácio Porto got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mouril's goalkeeper Sérgio Paiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Inácio Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Jesus might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albertino Borges. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Jesus ran back to his position shaking his head. Albertino Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Porto in the 36th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mouril's goalkeeper Sérgio Paiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Lisboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Sérgio Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Simão Ferro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco Fonseca took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Albertino Borges. SC Roqueirinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Simão Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Paiva having to interfere. If Jorge Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Ferro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Sérgio Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Roqueirinho's Albertino Borges got control of the ball when Inácio Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Inácio Porto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 69th playminute. In the 73rd minute, Inácio Porto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albertino Borges was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Inácio Porto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Albertino Borges made a huge save. SC Roqueirinho's Albertino Borges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save SC Roqueirinho from getting a goal against them. Jorge Jesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Borges having to interfere. Simão Ferro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Sérgio Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mouril's Sérgio Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Ferro in the 86th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mouril's zone, José Lisboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Paiva came out of the goal and José Lisboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mouril's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
