The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vasco Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Trindade having to interfere. Américo Resende's late challenge caught a Goucharia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Américo Resende helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Goucharia FC booed when Alcochete was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Resende didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tiago Coimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Resende in the 26th minute of play. Fernando Bessa's late challenge caught a Alcochete's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Bessa helped the player get up and apologised. Fernando Bessa hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Tiago Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasco Gomes in the 39th minute of play. Vasco Gomes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Alcochete's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Vasco Gomes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Trindade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Emílio Pinto could shoot a difficult shot in the 49th minute, which Carlos Trindade however easily saved by the left post. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Vasco Gomes made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Gomes in the 54th minute of play forced Goucharia FC's goalkeeper Carlos Trindade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vítor Alves made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Tiago Coimbra sent off a good shot on target. Eusébio Antunes's late challenge caught a Alcochete's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Goucharia FC's Carlos Trindade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Reis in the 61st minute of play. After 62 minutes of play, Alcochete's Vasco Gomes made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Trindade was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Henrique Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Alves made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Tiago Coimbra sent off a good shot on target. Vasco Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Américo Resende kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Pedro Figueiredo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute David Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrique Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Carlos Trindade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alcochete's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
