Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cláudio Alves started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Tomás Amaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 5 minutes into the match, SC Pinhote's goalkeeper Vicente Moura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Amaro. In the 6th minute, SC Pinhote's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bernardo Assunção fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Joaquim Araújo's late challenge caught a Catasel FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquim Araújo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Catasel FC booed when SC Pinhote was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Amaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute Cláudio Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Pinhote's Vicente Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Amaro in the 17th minute of play. Bernardo Assunção might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vicente Moura. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Assunção ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Amaro in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Moura saved SC Pinhote from getting behind. Joaquim Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Fernandes having to interfere. If Bernardo Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cláudio Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Fernandes having to interfere. José Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Araújo in the 30th minute of the match. If Bernardo Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Moura was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomás Amaro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 44 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Tomás Amaro made the kick off in the second half. SC Pinhote's Cláudio Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vicente Moura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Assunção's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Amaro in the 59th minute of play forced SC Pinhote's goalkeeper Vicente Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Araújo in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of José Fernandes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cláudio Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardo Assunção fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Moura having to interfere. Bernardo Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Assis kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Filipe Monteiro's late challenge caught a SC Pinhote's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Monteiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 played minutes Catasel FC got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Monteiro. In the 84th minute Cláudio Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Alves in the 90th minute of play. Joaquim Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
