The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vítor Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Baptista in the 7th minute of play. In the 10th minute, one of Adcamo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Adcamo. In the 14th minute, Eduardo Esteves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vítor Marques was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Inácio Pinto struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Artur Baptista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Adcamo. If André Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Anjos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Agodim's goalkeeper Artur Baptista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Agodim's Artur Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Anjos in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Inácio Pinto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Adcamo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Inácio Pinto might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Baptista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Inácio Pinto ran back to his position shaking his head. André Anjos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Artur Baptista having to make a save. 47 minutes into the game, Agodim's Eduardo Esteves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vítor Marques made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Anjos made a kick off. After 54 played minutes, Agodim's Paulo Santarém shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vítor Marques came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Agodim reached it. In the 56thth minute of the game André Anjos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agodim's Artur Baptista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 57th minute Carlos Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes in the game, Carlos Baptista fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vítor Marques having to interfere. Eduardo Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Marques having to interfere. Cândido Brás kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Esteves got free with Vítor Marques in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
