Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Candomil's Ricardo Costa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Eusébio Viana fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Varejeira FC's protests and gave Eusébio Viana a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Eusébio Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mário Moreira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulo Vaz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Sebastião Monteiro charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastião Monteiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Varejeira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Almeida came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Varejeira FC's Nuno Neves. But to his dismay, Nuno Neves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. SC Candomil's Ricardo Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of SC Candomil booed when Varejeira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Varejeira FC's Eusébio Viana got his second yellow card of the match in the 28th minute. The referee ordered Eusébio Viana off the ground. In the 29th minute, Eusébio Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Ricardo Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Ricardo Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mário Moreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Ricardo Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Moreira having to interfere. Mário Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardo Paredes made a kick off. Ricardo Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio Figueiredo charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júlio Figueiredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd minute, Júlio Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Varejeira FC's Ricardo Paredes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nuno Neves hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Varejeira FC's zone, Ricardo Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mário Moreira came out of the goal and Ricardo Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuno Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Ricardo Paredes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Almeida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Mário Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mário Moreira came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Candomil's Paulo Vaz. But to his dismay, Paulo Vaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 86 minutes into the match, SC Candomil's goalkeeper Pedro Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastião Monteiro. With a little luck, SC Candomil's Pedro Almeida got control of the ball when Ricardo Paredes tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ricardo Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
