Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Joaquim Viegas made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Joaquim Viegas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Giao's Pedro Viegas. Pedro Viegas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Matias in the 7th minute of play forced Giao's goalkeeper Pedro Viegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Abela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! In the 12th match minute, Abela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Morais to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Amadeu Morais ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Viegas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Amadeu Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeu Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Viegas having to interfere. The supporters of Abela booed when Giao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Giao's zone, Vítor Matias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Viegas came out of the goal and Vítor Matias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nuno Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36thth minute of the game Bruno Domingues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abela's Mariano Anjos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amadeu Morais's late challenge caught a Giao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeu Morais helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Giao booed when Abela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Morais didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mário Martins took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Viegas. Giao's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pedro Viegas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vítor Matias's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Vítor Matias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abela's Vítor Matias got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno Domingues stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Abela got a freekick which was hit by Mário Martins. 60 minutes into the match, Abela's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Domingues came free, but Mariano Anjos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Abela's zone, Nuno Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Anjos came out of the goal and Nuno Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 65 minutes of play, Giao's Bruno Domingues made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariano Anjos was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Domingues in the 73rd minute of play forced Abela's goalkeeper Mariano Anjos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filipe Paiva during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Filipe Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Giao's Fernando Maia tried to score from far away in the 80th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nuno Valente succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
