The supporters of Mattas FC booed when Regada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. The wind increased when Xavier Silva made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Mattas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Mendes came free, but Afonso Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Silva in the 55th minute of play forced Regada's goalkeeper Joaquim Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mattas FC's Álvaro Machado got a free kick in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Afonso Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Regada's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Afonso Vieira managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Regada's Afonso Vale fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Afonso Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Afonso Vieira made a huge save. After having played for 91 minutes, Henrique Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Regada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Afonso Vale recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Afonso Vieira. Afonso Vale showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
