SC Izei's Luís Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Gueifão in the 4th minute of play. Inácio Gueifão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to SC Charneca getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Nuno Castro hit a great ball. SC Charneca's Miguel Santarém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Lisboa in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the SC Charneca defense, Gonçalo Moreira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Santarém. The SC Charneca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Santarém should have stopped the shot. André Pires could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Luís Pinho made a huge save. Inácio Gueifão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Izei's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bruno Pacheco was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Charneca's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Gueifão in the 42nd minute of play forced SC Izei's goalkeeper Luís Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of SC Charneca booed when SC Izei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Charneca's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bruno Pacheco in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sérgio Lisboa to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Inácio Gueifão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Luís Pinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th match minute, SC Charneca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Correia to maneuver through the defense. André Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Luís Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Inácio Gueifão notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of SC Izei's Luís Pinho. Luís Pinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Pires in the 69th minute of play forced SC Izei's goalkeeper Luís Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Pinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Pires went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. With an all-out effort, SC Izei's Miguel Santarém threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sérgio Lisboa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gonçalo Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Miguel Santarém made a huge save. SC Charneca's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
