The tension between the SC Milharado and the Meca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. André Anjos, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Inácio Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mário Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Aguiar having to interfere. Simão Pedroso got his second yellow card in the match during the 9th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, SC Milharado's Simão Pedroso got a free kick in the 9th minute. Amílcar Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Marco Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Mário Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Álvaro Aguiar. SC Milharado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mário Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Mário Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Alves hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Vasco Neto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Marco Santos made a huge save. Álvaro Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, SC Milharado's Amílcar Barros got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 43rd minute, Vasco Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mário Amorim struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Álvaro Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meca FC. After the first half Meca FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mário Amorim was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Amorim in the 51st minute of play forced SC Milharado's goalkeeper Álvaro Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Meca FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Vítor Simões hit a great ball. Bruno Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Aleixo's late challenge caught a Meca FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Aleixo helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of SC Milharado:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Meca FC:s goal. Álvaro Aguiar was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Mário Amorim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mário Amorim really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. With a little luck, SC Milharado's Álvaro Aguiar got control of the ball when Inácio Antunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Vasco Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Milharado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasco Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bruno Alves came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the SC Milharado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Alves couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 82 in the game by Inácio Antunes from a close distance when the talented Álvaro Aguiar managed to make a qualified save. SC Milharado's players were relieved. When Inácio Antunes, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 82 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Álvaro Aguiar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Marco Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Guerreiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the match, SC Milharado's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Amorim came free, but Álvaro Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, SC Milharado's goalkeeper Álvaro Aguiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inácio Antunes. SC Milharado's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Inácio Antunes 91 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Meca FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
