Nuno Resende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Andrade in the 4th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Pedreda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Brito came free, but Nuno Resende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu Brito took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nuno Resende. Nuno Resende dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Rui Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute Amadeu Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Resende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Carlos Jesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amadeu Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Resende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Domingos Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Resende having to interfere. After 44 minutes, Albertino Torres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pedreda FC and the Junquinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute, Albertino Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Junquinho were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amadeu Brito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Carlos Monteiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Nuno Resende was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlos Aleixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Faro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, Junquinho's Amadeu Brito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuno Resende narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedreda FC's Nuno Resende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Pedreda FC from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute, Carlos Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Pedreda FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Alberto Fonseca hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Domingos Andrade made a precise shot to the right of Nuno Resende. Pedreda FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Junquinho's Carlos Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Faro in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Domingos Andrade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Junquinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. If Alberto Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Amadeu Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80thth minute of the game Alberto Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Junquinho's Carlos Aleixo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 85 minutes, Augusto Aguiar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Junquinho and the Pedreda FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pedreda FC booed when Junquinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alberto Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
