Eduardo Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pedreda FC. Nuno Barros's late challenge caught a Pedreda FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Barros helped the player get up and apologised. A hard shot by Basílio Pereira from long distance, 7 minutes into the match, got Eduardo Fonseca's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. During the 10th minute of the match Nuno Barros completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nuno Barros a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 10 played minutes SC Pinheirinho got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Barros. Pedreda FC's Basílio Pereira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Pinheirinho. Alberto Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Faro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduardo Fonseca having to make a save. If Rui Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Amaro scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nuno Resende, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Afonso Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Jesus in the 41st minute. After 44 played minutes SC Pinheirinho got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Viana. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristiano Amaro made a kick off. Albertino Torres hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Eduardo Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Fonseca in the 56th minute of play. Rui Faro might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Fonseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Faro ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to SC Pinheirinho getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Mariano Resende hit a great ball. Pedreda FC's Basílio Pereira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Pinheirinho. Eduardo Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Cristiano Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristiano Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute SC Pinheirinho were awarded a corner. Inácio Domingues went to the cornerflag to take it. Pedreda FC's Rui Faro got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Fonseca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduardo Fonseca having to make a save. Rui Faro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Pedreda FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
