An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Cruz in the 13th minute of play forced SC Alcaide's goalkeeper Vasco Guarda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Paiva in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vítor Costa saved SC Pousadinha from getting behind. Vítor Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Leal's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. If Jorge Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, SC Alcaide's Tiago Leal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vítor Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 26 in the game by Diamantino Viana from a close distance when the talented Vasco Guarda managed to make a qualified save. SC Alcaide's players were relieved. Diamantino Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Leal in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vítor Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 36 minutes, Carlos Borba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Pousadinha and the SC Alcaide players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Pousadinha's Carlos Borba got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, one of SC Pousadinha:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Pousadinha.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiago Leal to make the kick off. Vasco Guarda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Pousadinha. SC Pousadinha's Carlos Borba got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tiago Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Alcaide's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Carneiro during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Pousadinha getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ricardo Carneiro hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Tiago Leal took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Vítor Costa to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Alcaide eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
