Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Nuno Neto started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. David Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Neto in the 4th minute of play. Tiago Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Raul Faro made a huge save. The supporters of Landal booed when Merujais FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Trindade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Inácio Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inácio Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiago Martins got free with Raul Faro in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute, Alfredo Trindade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Tiago Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raul Faro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Marco Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Faro having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Alexandre Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Sá in the 37th minute of play. Nuno Neto might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Maia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nuno Neto ran back to his position shaking his head. Merujais FC's Inácio Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Sá stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raul Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes into the match, Landal's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Neto came free, but David Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merujais FC's Raul Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Martins in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Merujais FC's Alfredo Trindade got a free kick in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Landal's Marco Sá nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raul Faro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Inácio Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Maia having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Inácio Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute Tiago Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Inácio Veiga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Maia having to make a save. In the 82nd minute, Nuno Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Pinho hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 86 played minutes, Landal's Lucas Ribeiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Raul Faro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Landal reached it. If Nuno Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 played minutes Landal got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Nascimento. In the 92nd minute of the match Merujais FC got a corner. Landal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexandre Domingues ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nuno Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Landal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
