Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when António Baptista got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, José Morais was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vasco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barcelinhos FC the free kick. In the 3rd minute, José Morais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Azevedo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 4th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jorge Valente. If Paulo Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. David Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute Paulo Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 played minutes Vasco got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Pinho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Vale in the 20th minute of play forced Vasco's goalkeeper David Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Alexandre Aleixo sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Moreira during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jorge Valente took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for David Azevedo. Vasco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Carlos Pinho fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vasco's protests and gave Carlos Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th match minute, Vasco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Pinho to maneuver through the defense. David Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Vale's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Baptista in the 42nd minute of play forced Barcelinhos FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Guerreiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Guerreiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Baptista in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Vasco's David Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Aleixo in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to Barcelinhos FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Miguel Faro hit a great ball. A collision led to Barcelinhos FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Adolfo Leão hit a great ball. Ricardo Guerreiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st play minute António Baptista came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ricardo Guerreiro. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Aleixo in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 65th minute, Vítor Pinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xavier Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Ricardo Guerreiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vasco. 79 minutes into the match, Alexandre Aleixo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Vasco's David Azevedo. David Azevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vasco's David Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Vale in the 84th minute of play. Paulo Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Azevedo having to interfere.
