Romainho's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óscar Fernandes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mário Correia to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Romainho getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Alexandre Macedo hit a great ball. In the 62nd match minute, Romainho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 72 minutes, Manuel Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romainho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Daniel Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Óscar Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Sousa in the 78th minute of play. If Daniel Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Lousal's Óscar Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Sousa in the 91st minute of play. The SC Lousal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
