Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Luís Borges started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of SC Montenegrelo booed when Varejeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 4 played minutes, SC Montenegrelo's Raul Correia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luís Anjos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Montenegrelo reached it. In the 7th minute of the match SC Montenegrelo got a corner. Varejeira's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Raul Correia ran over to the corner to take the kick. Paulo Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. SC Montenegrelo were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Varejeira's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raul Correia took the corner. When Varejeira's Luís Borges in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Montenegrelo's goalie prevented a goal. Varejeira were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after SC Montenegrelo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bruno Brás took the corner. The corner ended in Bruno Brás almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SC Montenegrelo's Rafael Fernandes did a great save. Diamantino Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Anjos having to interfere. Jaime Leal hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, SC Montenegrelo's Diamantino Correia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Anjos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luís Anjos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diamantino Correia in the 43rd minute of the match. Diamantino Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Luís Anjos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Carlos Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Anjos having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Varejeira's Jaime Leal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Fernandes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Diamantino Correia came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the SC Montenegrelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diamantino Correia couldn't finish the play. Carlos Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute Luís Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Anjos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Luís Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Fernandes having to interfere. Varejeira's Miguel Garcia got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Miguel Garcia off the ground. After 87 played minutes Varejeira got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Garcia. The nice shot from Diamantino Correia in the 89thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Luís Anjos had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Jaime Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Esteves got free with Luís Anjos in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
