An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Brás in the 21st minute of play forced Covela FC's goalkeeper Paulo Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Covela FC booed when Lodeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Guarda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lodeiro's Augusto Brás proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Lodeiro from getting a goal against them. 27 minutes into the match, Lodeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Delgado came free, but Augusto Brás reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Brás in the 29th minute of play forced Covela FC's goalkeeper Paulo Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fernando Gueifão fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Covela FC's protests and gave Fernando Gueifão a yellow card for diving instead. Fernando Gueifão hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Gabriel Brás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Brás blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Queirós having to make a save. Lodeiro's Augusto Brás played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Delgado in the 48th minute of play.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Esteves to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Delgado in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augusto Brás prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the match, Lodeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Vasco Fernandes came free, but Augusto Brás reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Covela FC's Paulo Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Esteves in the 60th minute of play. Hélder Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 72nd minute, Jorge Costa made a precise shot to the right of Augusto Brás. Lodeiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Vasco Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Brás got free with Paulo Queirós in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel Brás could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Paulo Queirós made a huge save. After having played for 82 minutes, José Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lodeiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augusto Brás took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute Jorge Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Brás saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Humberto Guarda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filipe Paredes hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute Lodeiro were awarded a corner. Francisco Ramos went to the cornerflag to take it.
