In the 4th minute, Emílio Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vítor Branco in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusébio Neves saved SC Queiroal from getting behind. Ricardo Cardoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filipe Reis in the 33rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Ramos in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Cardoso saved Rana FC from getting behind. When Vicente Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rana FC's protests and gave Vicente Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, Rana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Cunha to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st match minute, SC Queiroal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Moura to maneuver through the defense. After 44 played minutes Rana FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Pinheiro. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Ramos to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, SC Queiroal's Jorge Ramos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Cardoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Eusébio Neves made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Vítor Branco sent off a good shot on target. Filipe Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rana FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 97th minute. Penalty! The referee gave SC Queiroal a penalty, 101 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cândido Nunes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rana FC's Ricardo Cardoso. 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Queiroal had won after a very even match.
