Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rogério Vaz got the match started through his kick off. Alfredo Moniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Cardoso having to interfere. With his leg Ricardo Cardoso managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Samarda FC's Alfredo Moniz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogério Vaz in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Cardoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Rana FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Rui Trindade hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Vaz in the 9th minute of play forced Rana FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Trindade hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Alfredo Moniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Cardoso having to interfere. In the 18th minute of the match, Rogério Vaz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ricardo Cardoso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 19 played minutes Rana FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Trindade. Rogério Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Rana FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Faria. If Vítor Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Samarda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Faria came free, but Paulo Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes, Sebastião Faro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samarda FC and the Rana FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Samarda FC's Sebastião Faro got a free kick in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Samarda FC's zone, Miguel Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Veiga came out of the goal and Miguel Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Sebastião Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Paulo Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Moniz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Cardoso having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Faria made a kick off. When Samarda FC's Alexandre Nogueira in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rana FC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Rana FC booed when Samarda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 minutes, Pedro Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samarda FC and the Rana FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedro Almeida hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Samarda FC's goalkeeper Paulo Veiga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Miguel Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rana FC's Ricardo Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Monteiro in the 69th minute of play. A collision led to Rana FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Catarino Machado hit a great ball. After 72 played minutes, Samarda FC's António Santarém shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Cardoso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Samarda FC reached it. If Vítor Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Miguel Faria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Veiga was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Alfredo Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Heitor Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Samarda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heitor Monteiro couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Rana FC's zone, Alfredo Moniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Cardoso came out of the goal and Alfredo Moniz tried to chip the ball over his head. Rana FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After having played for 92 minutes, Alfredo Moniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samarda FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Moniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Samarda FC's goalkeeper Paulo Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vítor Branco. After a rather tough play, Rana FC's Catarino Machado got a free kick in the 96th minute. António Santarém, 98 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
