They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Ricardo Viegas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Luceia's António Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Óscar Delgado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adelino Paredes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Fábio Fonsecas short, quick shot in the 99thth minute got António Melo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Luceia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Corteses were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
