Thanks to some nice moves Lourenço Brás could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Emílio Borges however easily saved by the left post. Lourenço Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Borges having to interfere. If Heitor Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Arrega was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Neves to maneuver through the defense. Emílio Borges was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Amílcar Campos. A collision led to Arrega getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Tomás Gonçalves hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Heitor Trindade during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Heitor Trindade kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Cabecinhos's Amílcar Campos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Arrega. A collision led to Arrega getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Xavier Faria hit a great ball. Emanuel Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Borges having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Arrega's zone, Emanuel Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Borges came out of the goal and Emanuel Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. António Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heitor Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cabecinhos's António Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Simões in the 40th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heitor Simões in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg António Carvalho saved Cabecinhos from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Garcia was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Lourenço Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabecinhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lourenço Brás was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emílio Borges didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Melo went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Lourenço Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, Cabecinhos's goalkeeper António Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Heitor Simões. 69 minutes into the game, Eusébio Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cabecinhos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arrega the free kick. A collision led to Cabecinhos getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Eusébio Borges hit a great ball. António Carvalho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedro Garcia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 72 minute of play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cabecinhos's goalkeeper António Carvalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th match minute, Cabecinhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Garcia in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck António Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Emanuel Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cabecinhos's zone, Pedro Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Carvalho came out of the goal and Pedro Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Pedro Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Lourenço Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabecinhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lourenço Brás was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Cabecinhos's Emanuel Melo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emílio Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cabecinhos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Arrega had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
