Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lourenço Miranda started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emílio Brito during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Emílio Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Pedroso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Barros having to make a save. SC Ervededo's José Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Maia in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of SC Ervededo booed when SC Rapijais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Vasco Santos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Esteves skillfully saved the ball. Carlos Anjos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Manuel Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspar Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Esteves having to interfere. SC Ervededo's Carlos Anjos got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Manuel Esteves managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when SC Ervededo's Gaspar Gonçalves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lourenço Miranda in the 29th minute of play forced SC Ervededo's goalkeeper José Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Gonçalves was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. SC Ervededo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Gaspar Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, SC Rapijais's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Anjos came free, but Manuel Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Gaspar Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Anjos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Gaspar Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Ervededo's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Anjos to make the kick off. Duarte Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. José Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Carlos Anjos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Ervededo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 71st minute, Gaspar Gonçalves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Esteves was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 76 minutes into the match, SC Rapijais's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Gonçalves came free, but Manuel Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Carlos Anjos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lourenço Miranda in the 85th minute of play. José Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Duarte Maia in the 92nd minute. When Lourenço Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the SC Rapijais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lourenço Miranda couldn't finish the play.
