The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Golfeiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vasco Amorim came free, but Carlos Assunção reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Barrocaria's Vasco Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Dantas having to interfere. Rafael Moutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, SC Barrocaria's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Oliveira came free, but Miguel Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Daniel Moniz fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Barrocaria's protests and gave Daniel Moniz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, SC Barrocaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Moniz to maneuver through the defense. Inácio Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Emanuel Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Golfeiras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Oliveira couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, Delfim Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Assunção having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tiago Vaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Assunção was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
