Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alexandre Santarém got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Forcadas FC booed when Faial FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandre Santarém's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adelino Brás read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Moniz during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adelino Brás showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Santarém in the 13th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Faial FC defense, Alexandre Santarém kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adelino Brás. The Faial FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adelino Brás should have stopped the shot. Faial FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alexandre Santarém 16 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Alexandre Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Adelino Amorim, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rodrigo Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Torres in the 26th minute of play. Rodrigo Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The audience was convinced that Armando Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrigo Soares was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. When Faial FC's Henrique Torres in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Forcadas FC's goalie prevented a goal. 33 minutes into the match, Armando Neves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodrigo Soares. Forcadas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armando Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 38 minutes into the match, Faial FC's Armando Neves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Soares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Torres in the 39th minute of play forced Forcadas FC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrique Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Neves to make the kick off. Forcadas FC's Rodrigo Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Neves in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Forcadas FC's zone, Armando Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Soares came out of the goal and Armando Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodrigo Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Neves in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Filipe Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adolfo Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Brás showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Santarém, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Santarém in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adelino Brás saved Faial FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrique Torres got free with Rodrigo Soares in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, Álvaro Paredes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adolfo Moniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Adelino Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adelino Brás showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Moniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Alexandre Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Brás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Moniz in the 94th minute of play. 98 minutes had been played when some careless play by Faial FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adelino Amorim was slow to take the kick. During this time Forcadas FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Adelino Amorim got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adelino Brás quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
