The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucas Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Araújo in the 3rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vítor Leiria during the 4th minute. The supporters of Aboleira FC booed when Negrosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gil Guarda acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 12th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pedro Guerreiro. After having played for 14 minutes, Rafael Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Negrosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Leite in the 15th minute of play forced Aboleira FC's goalkeeper Lucas Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Negrosa FC's Gil Guarda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Negrosa FC from getting a goal against them. If Duarte Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Negrosa FC's Emílio Freitas in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Lucas Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Rafael Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Gaspar having to interfere. José Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Duarte Moniz notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Negrosa FC's Gil Guarda. Gil Guarda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 68 minutes into the match, Duarte Moniz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gil Guarda. Negrosa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duarte Moniz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 73 minutes into the match, Aboleira FC's goalkeeper Lucas Gaspar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Araújo. Rafael Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucas Gaspar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Negrosa FC's Gil Guarda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Macedo in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Macedo in the 82nd minute of play forced Negrosa FC's goalkeeper Gil Guarda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Tomás Leite could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Lucas Gaspar however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Araújo in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Leite during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Negrosa FC's Tomás Leite got a free kick in the 97th minute.
