The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ricardo Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Gueifão, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. António Figueiredo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Samorim's António Figueiredo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Jorge Gueifão might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Vaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Gueifão ran back to his position shaking his head. Moleiro FC's Eduardo Coimbra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Moleiro FC from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the SC Samorim defense, Joaquim Valente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Vaz. The SC Samorim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Vaz should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Moleiro FC's goalkeeper Eduardo Coimbra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rafael Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Eduardo Coimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardo Sousa was the one to do the kick off. Joaquim Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Vaz having to interfere. The supporters of Moleiro FC booed when SC Samorim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Samorim's Rafael Pereira got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Henrique Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rafael Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 76 minutes, Jorge Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moleiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Gueifão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Samorim's Pedro Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Catarino Nascimento in the 79th minute of play. When Henrique Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moleiro FC's protests and gave Henrique Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. Henrique Miranda hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. SC Samorim's Afonso Faria couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Moleiro FC. Jorge Gueifão came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pedro Vaz could save by the left post. Jorge Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Pedro Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Henrique Miranda notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of SC Samorim's Pedro Vaz. Pedro Vaz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricardo Sousa took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eduardo Coimbra. Eduardo Coimbra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Samorim had won after a very even match.
