But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Fernandes couldn't finish the play. Basílio Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Pinho in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Vítor Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Cláudio Lima. Picadouro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Cláudio Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 52nd match minute, Picadouro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. Filipe Correia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basílio Costa having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simão Jesus during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th match minute, SC Sorval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Jesus to maneuver through the defense. Basílio Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Filipe Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Costa having to interfere. Eusébio Pinho struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Basílio Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Picadouro FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Fernandes in the 81st minute of play forced Picadouro FC's goalkeeper Cláudio Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sérgio Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Lima having to interfere. Vítor Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Cláudio Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Sorval walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
