The referee ignored Moucos FC's protests and gave Paulo Silva a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Moucos FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Silva. When Joel Ferro came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the SC Tovim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Ferro couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes in the game, Emanuel Azevedo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Filipe Carvalho having to interfere. Adelino Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Eusébio Barbosa sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Filipe Carvalho threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Eusébio Barbosa this time. Moucos FC's Filipe Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Ferro in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Tovim's zone, Sandro Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Santarém came out of the goal and Sandro Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sérgio Santarém showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Joel Ferro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Filipe Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sérgio Santarém made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Brás in the 36th minute of play. Sérgio Santarém took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44thth minute of the game Sandro Sá who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Tovim's Sérgio Santarém was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Moucos FC booed when SC Tovim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lourenço Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Brás stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Gabriel Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moucos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Brás was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Santarém breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 57 played minutes SC Tovim got a freekick which was hit by José Setúbal. Gabriel Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 65 minutes, Emanuel Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Tovim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 67 minutes of play, Moucos FC's Sandro Sá made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sérgio Santarém was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adelino Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The corner led to SC Tovim's Amadeu Ferro getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Joel Ferro scored 1-2 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filipe Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Emanuel Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the SC Tovim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Azevedo couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Filipe Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Tovim. After having played for 96 minutes, Joel Ferro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Tovim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Ferro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The SC Tovim supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Moucos FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Moucos FC.
