Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Matos made the kick off and thus started the match. Ricardo Fernandes hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Daniel Matos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simão Borges read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Daniel Matos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Simão Borges was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Vicente Barros fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meirico FC's protests and gave Vicente Barros a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Meirico FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Barros. In the 28th minute of the match Hugo Pinheiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Simão Borges showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Meirico FC were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Aveia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augusto Leiria took the corner. After taking down the ball on Meirico FC's corner Augusto Leiria fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and André Queirós quite easily take care of the ball. André Queirós was a little too slow when José Coelho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-1. Eduardo Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. André Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Queirós made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Eduardo Ramos sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Coelho made a kick off. After some careless play in the Aveia defense, José Coelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Queirós. The Aveia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Queirós should have stopped the shot. Eduardo Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. André Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Meirico FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Matos came free, but Simão Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, José Coelho made a precise shot to the right of André Queirós. Aveia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Meirico FC's Simão Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Matos in the 74th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Aveia's Afonso Leiria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simão Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. Simão Borges acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gil Tavares. After a defensive mix-up in Aveia's zone, Vicente Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Queirós came out of the goal and Vicente Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Meirico FC's Eduardo Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Meirico FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
