An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Barros in the 40th minute of play forced Paparia FC's goalkeeper Duarte Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Moniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Queirós in the 42nd minute of play. Montoito FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when João Queirós scored to the left of an out of position Alexandre Moniz, making the score, 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diogo Barros to strike the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Moniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Queirós in the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Luís Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paparia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Domingues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Moniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Baptista's late challenge caught a Paparia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Montoito FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Baptista. After having played for 59 minutes, Luís Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paparia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Domingues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the game, Pedro Vaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montoito FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paparia FC the free kick. 67 minutes into the match, Delfim Aleixo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Duarte Cunha. Paparia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delfim Aleixo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. When João Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Paparia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Queirós couldn't finish the play. After 78 played minutes Montoito FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Baptista. If João Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Montoito FC's Diogo Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duarte Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Barros in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duarte Cunha saved Paparia FC from getting behind. Alexandre Moniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Alexandre Moniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Queirós in the 92nd minute of play. João Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Barros in the 97th minute of play forced Paparia FC's goalkeeper Duarte Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
