After a rather tough play, Paparia FC's Armando Pereira got a free kick in the 19th minute. Pedro Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Duarte Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Dias in the 25th minute. When Carlos Brito came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Murganhal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Brito couldn't finish the play. Duarte Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Brito in the 35th minute of the match. If Rui Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Duarte Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Armando Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes Paparia FC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Pereira. Sebastião Morais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The supporters of Paparia FC booed when Murganhal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Matias didn't get a good kick on the ball. António Matias's late challenge caught a Murganhal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Murganhal FC's Sebastião Morais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Murganhal FC from getting a goal against them. Carlos Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Cunha having to interfere. In the 86th match minute, Paparia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Macedo to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Paparia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Dias came free, but Duarte Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Duarte Cunha having to make a save. Duarte Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Brito in the 98th minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
