Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Manuel Neves took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bruno Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Duarte Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Fontelas's Mário Garcia got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 6th match minute, SC Fontelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Garcia to maneuver through the defense. SC Fontelas's Gonçalo Gonçalves was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 14th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Bruno Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Barros having to interfere. Mário Garcia's late challenge caught a Montijo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mário Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Fontelas getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Mário Garcia hit a great ball. SC Fontelas's Duarte Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Neves in the 20th minute of play. After some careless play in the SC Fontelas defense, Bruno Carvalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duarte Barros. The SC Fontelas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duarte Barros should have stopped the shot. After 24 played minutes SC Fontelas got a freekick which was hit by Mário Garcia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Neves in the 26th minute of play forced SC Fontelas's goalkeeper Duarte Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duarte Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Domingues in the 28th minute of play. Duarte Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Neves went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. When Montijo FC's Manuel Neves in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Fontelas's goalie prevented a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonçalo Gonçalves to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Montijo FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Costa. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montijo FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Tavares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rui Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Montijo FC's Manuel Neves in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Fontelas's goalie prevented a goal. If Bruno Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rui Brito came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the SC Fontelas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Brito couldn't finish the play. When Montijo FC's Manuel Neves in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Fontelas's goalie prevented a goal. Duarte Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Neves in the 80th minute of play. Bruno Carvalho took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Duarte Barros. Duarte Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. SC Fontelas's Duarte Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Neves in the 88th minute of play. Montijo FC's Bruno Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gonçalo Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Tavares having to interfere. In the 95th minute Rui Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Fontelas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 98th minute, when Manuel Neves scored to the left of an out of position Duarte Barros, making the score, 1-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Montijo FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
