With a left leg Manuel Freitas saved SC Rapoza from getting behind. 8 minutes into the match, SC Marmeleiro's David Cruz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Freitas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SC Marmeleiro's Diogo Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save SC Marmeleiro from getting a goal against them. The supporters of SC Rapoza booed when SC Marmeleiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gil Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Diogo Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Borges in the 17th minute of play forced SC Marmeleiro's goalkeeper Diogo Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 minutes, Júlio Faro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Rapoza and the SC Marmeleiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Simão Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Emanuel Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Freitas having to interfere. Emanuel Marques struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Manuel Freitas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Marmeleiro. SC Marmeleiro's Emanuel Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diogo Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Pires in the 45th minute of the match. If Simão Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Marques to strike the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Manuel Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diogo Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Pires in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, SC Rapoza's Manuel Freitas got control of the ball when Emanuel Marques tried to sneak it across the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, SC Rapoza's goalkeeper Manuel Freitas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Marques. Emanuel Marques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Manuel Freitas made a huge save. Bruno Cabral's late challenge caught a SC Marmeleiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Rapoza's Bruno Cabral got a free kick in the 89th minute. Simão Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diogo Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duarte Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Cabral struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Diogo Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Rapoza. The SC Marmeleiro supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Marmeleiro would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
