Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquim Leal to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Carlos Matias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandre Viegas. SC Sandelgas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Matias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Alexandre Viegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Matias in the 56th minute of play. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Muro FC's goalkeeper Nuno Assunção, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 94 played minutes, Muro FC's Pedro Abreu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alexandre Viegas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Muro FC reached it. In the 96th minute Filipe Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Assunção saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
