The supporters of SC Moreiras booed when Guistola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, SC Moreiras's João Pinto got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute Paulo Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augusto Macedo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guistola FC's goalkeeper Humberto Santarém, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 0-2 became the score in the 33rd minute when Fernando Rodrigues elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Fernando Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Macedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Rodrigues in the 39th minute of play forced SC Moreiras's goalkeeper Augusto Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Pinto hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Alexandre Lopes, 41 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. When João Pinto fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Moreiras's protests and gave João Pinto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Guistola FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Diogo Brás hit a great ball. Humberto Santarém showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Guerreiro in the 98th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Guistola FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
