In the 9thth minute of the game Eusébio Assunção who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Cabecudos's Cristiano Aguiar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 11th minute Alberto Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Cabecudos's Bruno Carneiro suffered a concussion in the 15th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 16 minutes into the game, André Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laurentim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Cabecudos the free kick. A collision led to Laurentim getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. André Dias hit a great ball. Cristiano Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Assunção in the 19th minute of the match. Laurentim's Alexandre Esteves couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Cabecudos. Alberto Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cristiano Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Fonseca took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristiano Aguiar. Cristiano Aguiar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The SC Cabecudos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Laurentim were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Afonso Dias made the kick off in the second half. When Jorge Leão fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Cabecudos's protests and gave Jorge Leão a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Cabecudos getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jorge Leão hit a great ball. Cristiano Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonso Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jorge Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laurentim's protests and gave Jorge Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th match minute, Laurentim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Eusébio Assunção sent off a good shot on target. Afonso Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Pereira having to interfere. Alberto Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Laurentim's zone, Afonso Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Pereira came out of the goal and Afonso Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Laurentim's Alexandre Esteves got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Cristiano Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Eusébio Assunção sent off a good shot on target. 93 minutes into the match, SC Cabecudos's goalkeeper Cristiano Aguiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusébio Assunção. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Alfredo Leiria managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cabecudos's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Leiria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Pereira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
