Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Miguel Pereira took the kick off in the first half of the match. Diamantino Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nuno Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Picarouba's Miguel Pereira in the 7th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Diamantino Fonseca was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Fermedo through an amazing save. In the 10th minute Miguel Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Miguel Pereira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diamantino Fonseca was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 12 played minutes Picarouba got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Correia. After 14 played minutes Fermedo got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Carneiro. A collision led to Fermedo getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Simão Vaz hit a great ball. Nuno Santarém showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Branco in the 27th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes, Fermedo's Vicente Coimbra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nuno Santarém came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fermedo reached it. Nuno Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Diamantino Fonseca made a huge save. When Domingos Carneiro fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fermedo's protests and gave Domingos Carneiro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Fermedo getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Domingos Carneiro hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Pereira in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diamantino Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Nuno Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nuno Melo in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 61st minute, Fermedo's Emanuel Antunes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Emanuel Antunes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Fermedo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Emanuel Antunes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 61 minutes into the game, one of Fermedo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cristóvão Mendes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 67th playminute. Nuno Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Fonseca having to interfere. Fermedo's Diamantino Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Melo in the 75th minute of play. Diamantino Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Miguel Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes, Daniel Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fermedo and the Picarouba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute, one of Fermedo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fermedo. Cristóvão Mendes in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nuno Santarém, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nuno Melo struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Diamantino Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Picarouba. Simão Vaz charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simão Vaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Picarouba booed when Fermedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fermedo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
