In the 15th minute Hélder Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sérgio Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Catarino Mota made a huge save. If Hélder Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sérgio Carvalho got free with Catarino Mota in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hélder Castro's late challenge caught a SC Goncalinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélder Castro helped the player get up and apologised. Hélder Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. João Ribeiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. SC Goncalinha's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Fernando Sá was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hélder Freitas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 61 minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by João Ribeiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Hélder Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Catarino Mota having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Goncalinha's zone, Hélder Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Catarino Mota came out of the goal and Hélder Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, SC Goncalinha's Miguel Paredes got a free kick in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Guerreiro in the 88th minute of play forced SC Goncalinha's goalkeeper Catarino Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Goncalinha's André Reis got a free kick in the 91st minute. After 92 played minutes, SC Balugaes's Rui Anjos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Catarino Mota came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Balugaes reached it. Miguel Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Sá having to interfere. The SC Goncalinha players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
