When Lúcio Pedroso came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the SC Lebres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Pedroso couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Ameixoeira's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Pedroso came free, but Pedro Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Santos during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joel Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Ameixoeira's Afonso Tavares tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Júlio Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Ameixoeira's Hugo Nunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júlio Neves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Manuel Moutinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Lebres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ameixoeira the free kick. A collision led to SC Lebres getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Manuel Moutinho hit a great ball. Vicente Neto didn't quite understand what happened when in the 22 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Marco Brás's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júlio Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Marco Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Neves having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, SC Lebres's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Brás came free, but Júlio Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 played minutes Ameixoeira got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Matias. Delfim Rodrigues's late challenge caught a Ameixoeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delfim Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes SC Lebres got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Rodrigues. When Ameixoeira's Hugo Nunes in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Lebres's goalie prevented a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Nunes was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, SC Lebres's António Pinheiro got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Pedro Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Pedroso in the 60th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lúcio Pedroso in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Lebres fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ameixoeira had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
