Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jacinto Brás got the match started through his kick off. José Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Gomes in the 3rd minute of play. Jacinto Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mariz booed when SC Lebres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariz's Delfim Machado shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Júlio Neves but with some difficulty. Delfim Rodrigues hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Jacinto Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Neves having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Albertino Pedroso notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of SC Lebres's Júlio Neves. Júlio Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 39 minutes into the match, Mariz's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Santos came free, but José Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 minutes, Delfim Machado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mariz and the SC Lebres players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Mariz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Machado to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, SC Lebres's Manuel Moutinho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, SC Lebres's Delfim Rodrigues got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute, Jacinto Brás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

A hard shot 57 in the game by Delfim Gomes from a close distance when the talented José Leal managed to make a qualified save. Mariz's players were relieved. Delfim Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Delfim Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 played minutes, Mariz's José Lopes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Júlio Neves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mariz reached it. Jacinto Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Júlio Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Lebres's Joel Santos got a free kick in the 74th minute. After 78 played minutes Mariz got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Barros. Júlio Neves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albertino Pedroso's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Lebres's goalkeeper Júlio Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lúcio Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. José Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
