Domingos Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Alves in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th match minute, Fuseta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Bessa to maneuver through the defense. Gil Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joaquim Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Freitas hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 38th match minute, Fuseta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Freitas to maneuver through the defense. Gil Nogueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Domingos Cardoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Sameiro FC booed when Fuseta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fuseta FC's Domingos Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Alves in the 43rd minute of play. Gil Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Fuseta FC's Domingos Cardoso got control of the ball when Gil Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Fuseta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sameiro FC the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Alves in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domingos Cardoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Francisco Pinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xavier Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sameiro FC's zone, Francisco Pinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavier Santos came out of the goal and Francisco Pinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Domingos Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, Fuseta FC's Basílio Ramos got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Domingos Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Nogueira in the 90th minute of play. After 90 minutes, Ricardo Pinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fuseta FC and the Sameiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fuseta FC's Ricardo Pinho got a free kick in the 90th minute. After having played for 93 minutes, Francisco Pinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fuseta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Pinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Luís Ferro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Francisco Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Fuseta FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
