Óscar Lisboa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Artur Setúbal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, SC Caselho's goal looked a bit too open when José Amorim came free, but Óscar Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fábio Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Óscar Lisboa having to interfere. Sérgio Jesus's late challenge caught a Fetais FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sérgio Jesus helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute, one of SC Caselho:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Caselho. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Caselho's goalkeeper Óscar Lisboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodrigo Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Bernardo Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute of the match Sérgio Jesus shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Gueifão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Rodrigo Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Caselho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xavier Pires's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Gueifão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 played minutes SC Caselho got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Teixeira. Óscar Lisboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fetais FC booed when SC Caselho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Amorim in the 41st minute of play forced SC Caselho's goalkeeper Óscar Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Gueifão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Amorim made a kick off. Fetais FC's Paulo Gueifão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Pires in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Fetais FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Pires came free, but Paulo Gueifão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Fetais FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Neto to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xavier Pires in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Gueifão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Xavier Pires, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 57 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Paulo Gueifão was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Xavier Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Paulo Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xavier Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Amorim hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Teixeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Gueifão. Fetais FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Teixeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
