When Xavier Pires came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the SC Caselho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Pires couldn't finish the play. André Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 44th minute of the match, Rodrigo Esteves got a very nice opportunity to score, but Óscar Lisboa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 46 minutes into the match, SC Caselho's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Nascimento came free, but Óscar Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Ebora's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óscar Lisboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the match, Ebora's goalkeeper André Ribeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Teixeira.
