Marco Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Pires in the 6th minute of play. SC Levegada's António Neves shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Joaquim Abreu but with some difficulty. The supporters of SC Levegada booed when SC Junceira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Magalhães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Joaquim Abreu made a huge save. Vicente Reis hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. When Luís Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the SC Levegada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Magalhães couldn't finish the play. Francisco Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SC Levegada's zone, Paulo Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Dantas came out of the goal and Paulo Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Amaral to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulo Viana in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marco Dantas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 55 minutes, Miguel Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Levegada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Francisco Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Levegada's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Levegada were furious when Albertino Ramos was red carded, 60 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Levegada! When the match had been going on for 62 minutes, SC Junceira's Filipe Sá got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Marco Dantas. Paulo Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Marco Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Abreu having to interfere. After having played for 78 minutes, Luís Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
