Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Amaral started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Melo in the 10th minute of play forced Benafim FC's goalkeeper José Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Manuel Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Neto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Amaral's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Magalhães in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SC Levegada's Marco Dantas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save SC Levegada from getting a goal against them. In the 21st match minute, Benafim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Amaral in the 25th minute of play forced Benafim FC's goalkeeper José Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Levegada fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! SC Levegada:s Marco Dantas showed great skill when he stopped Amílcar Viegas:s penalty. 32 minutes into the game, Vasco Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Benafim FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Levegada the free kick. The supporters of SC Levegada booed when Benafim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasco Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Jorge Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benafim FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Pacheco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vasco Nascimento was shown his second yellow card after 41 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Vasco Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, SC Levegada's Francisco Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Neto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Pacheco to strike the kick off in the second half. Francisco Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Luís Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the SC Levegada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Magalhães couldn't finish the play. Manuel Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. SC Levegada's Luís Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Pacheco in the 66th minute of play forced SC Levegada's goalkeeper Marco Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Benafim FC's Jorge Pacheco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Dantas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 68 played minutes SC Levegada got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Melo. Jorge Pacheco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Dantas having to interfere. José Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Jorge Pacheco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Catarino Gomes succeeded in the game's 80th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Marco Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 94th minute Jorge Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Levegada players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Benafim FC.
