Cláudio Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Martins having to interfere. The referee gave Manhente a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Adelino Mota, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Campo FC's Raul Martins. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Manhente's zone, Cláudio Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélder Porto came out of the goal and Cláudio Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Pedro Cardoso fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manhente's protests and gave Pedro Cardoso a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Manhente got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Cardoso. Cláudio Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alfredo Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Hélder Porto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cláudio Freitas in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute, Delfim Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Porto having to interfere. After the first half Manhente were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cláudio Marques was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Campo FC's Cláudio Freitas made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélder Porto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfredo Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Campo FC booed when Manhente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cláudio Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75th match minute, Manhente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Paiva to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Campo FC booed when Manhente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Campo FC's Rodrigo Trindade broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Alfredo Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Porto having to interfere. The supporters of Campo FC booed when Manhente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 minutes Manhente's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rodrigo Trindade who took care of the corner kick. After some careless play in the Manhente defense, Cláudio Freitas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hélder Porto. The Manhente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hélder Porto should have stopped the shot. Joaquim Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Raul Martins made a huge save. Campo FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Manhente for a fine match.
