The tension between the Guifoes and the Laguinho FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Laguinho FC booed when Guifoes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Setúbal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Faro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laguinho FC's João Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílcar Leão in the 47th minute of play.

In the 51st match minute, Laguinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Sebastião Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guifoes's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião Henriques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Amílcar Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Amílcar Leão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of João Rodrigues, 1-1. Jorge Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laguinho FC's Emanuel Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Álvaro Neto charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álvaro Neto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Álvaro Neto hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Guifoes's zone, Emanuel Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Setúbal came out of the goal and Emanuel Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emanuel Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
